Eight woods.
Eight cocktails worth making.
Each recipe is built around the wood it was smoked with. Follow it once, then make it your own.
Apple Wood — Light & Fruity
Apple Wood Whiskey Sour
Apple smoke lifts the citrus and softens the bourbon into something unexpectedly bright.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz honey syrup
- 1 egg white
- Apple wood smoke
Method
Dry shake all ingredients without ice, then shake again with ice. Strain into a coupe glass. Smoke the surface with apple wood before serving.
Cherry Wood — Smooth & Sweet
Cherry Smoked Old Fashioned
The most requested pairing in the kit. Cherry adds a subtle fruitiness that makes a classic feel brand new.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 tsp demerara sugar
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Orange peel to express
- Cherry wood smoke
Method
Stir sugar and bitters with a splash of water until dissolved. Add bourbon and a large ice cube. Stir for 20 seconds. Express orange peel over the glass. Smoke with cherry wood before serving.
Pecan — Warm & Nutty
Pecan Smoked Rum Manhattan
Pecan pushes the Manhattan into dessert territory — rich, warm, and deeply satisfying.
Ingredients
- 2 oz dark rum
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 luxardo cherry
- Pecan wood smoke
Method
Stir all ingredients with ice for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a luxardo cherry. Smoke with pecan wood immediately before serving.
Beech — Mild & Balanced
Beech Smoked Mezcal Sour
Beech is neutral enough to let the mezcal lead. The smoke adds depth without competing with the spirit.
Ingredients
- 2 oz mezcal
- ¾ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz agave syrup
- 1 egg white
- Beech wood smoke
Method
Dry shake all ingredients without ice. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Smoke with beech wood and serve immediately.
Pear Wood — Delicate & Floral
Pear Smoked Champagne Cocktail
The most impressive of the eight. Light, floral, and effortless — the one that always gets asked about.
Ingredients
- 4 oz champagne or prosecco
- ½ oz pear liqueur
- Lemon twist to garnish
- Pear wood smoke
Method
Add pear liqueur to a chilled champagne flute. Top with champagne. Smoke with pear wood over the top of the glass before serving. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Oak — Bold & Classic
Oak Smoked Negroni
Oak makes a negroni taste barrel-aged. Bold, confident, and impossible to forget.
Ingredients
- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- Wide orange peel to express
- Oak wood smoke
Method
Stir all ingredients with ice for 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Express orange peel over the surface. Smoke with oak wood before serving.
Maple — Sweet & Warm
Maple Smoked Bourbon Smash
Maple turns a simple bourbon smash into something that tastes like it took hours to make. It didn't.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz maple syrup
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- Maple wood smoke
Method
Muddle mint leaves gently in a shaker. Add bourbon, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice. Smoke with maple wood before serving.
Hickory — Bold & Assertive
Hickory Smoked Mezcal Negroni
The most intense pairing in the collection. Hickory and mezcal amplify each other — this one commands the room.
Ingredients
- 1 oz mezcal
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- Wide orange peel to express
- Hickory wood smoke
Method
Stir all ingredients with ice for 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Express orange peel over the surface. Smoke generously with hickory wood before serving.
